I was very surprised when I heared from you. I didn't expected it. I am pleased even if it didn't solve my problem:-) Let me now elaborate on my problem. 1) I can write Greek as well as see Greek in *all* windowmanagers. 2) My problem is : "How do I switch from English keyboard to a Greek one?" Personally I like fvwm better and that's the windowmanager I use. But I thought I might give KDE.2.xx a try. All went well, and I am very impressed by the quality of work that has been done, both from the KDE team as well as from the SuSE team (very good intergration). Then, I thought that I might as well use the language changer (you know, that little thing that changes flags every time you press it, kxkb is called as I later found out). Well, it changed flags all right, but that's about all it did. It didn't change my keyboard mapping, so I still couldn't type Greek. Problem is solved by using kikbd (from KDE.1.xx), but it is not an ellegant solution since kikbd does not get captured by kpanel and it is left as a "stray" window floating in my desktop which spoils the whole KDE.2.xx "experience". BTW, fvwm nicely captures kikbd into FvwmButtons. SuSE support, please read on... Lenz Grimmer wrote:

Yes, iso8859-7 is the same as Latin7. Yes, misc-*-iso8859-7 fonts are included. but none of the other fonts found in xfntgrk-3.3.6-27 and in xfntgr-3.3.6-27 are. That includes fonts such as helvetica, arial, times etc. BTW, I installed the above mentions rpms from SuSE.6.4 to a SuSE.7.1 system and everything works fine, so I can't say if it's the X server or not.

Well, for some basic stuff you are indeed covered. But I can't see why I should be so limited in font choices. Actually I don't have a choice, there is only one font available with the 7.1.Pro I bought. For xterm-based tasks, misc is fine. For almost everything else in inadequate.
