In setting up an old PC as an xterminal I encountered a problem. The mountd and nfsd were not started, as a result I was not able to mount a floppy. Changing from kernel NFS to userspace NFS fixed the problem. mountd and rpc.nfsd were started and I was able to mount the floppy. I was just wondering if any wise person out there had an explanation for this. By way of information, the server is running digital unix and the xterminal is running SuSE 7.1 TIA Eddie
