Hello
Do you know why depmod doesn't work with SuSe 7.0 or 7.1 with any 2.4
kernels.
Only their RPM which is depmod version 2.4.1 seems to work.
The depmod in 2.4.5 modutils gives me errors like:
depmod version 2.4.5
depmod: Module /lib/modules/2.4.0-4GB/kernel/drivers/media/video/cpia_usb.o
has an unknown version (2) usb_device table
It is likely that the kernel structure has changed, if so then
you probably need a new version of modutils to handle this kernel.
Check linux/Documentation/Changes.
It seems to be not able to create a modules.dep in the /lib/modules/
subdirectory.
