On my system /dev/audio made a blasting noise with huge static, under which I could hear faint traces of the wav file.
/dev/dsp, however, worked great. Does anyone know the difference between /dev/audio and /dev/dsp?
I believe /dev/dsp uses a different driver. You only get it with the correct kernel configuration option. -- David Benfell benfell@parts-unknown.org --- Resume available at http://www.parts-unknown.org/resume.html
