Hello I've tried this, with the binaries you suggested, but it's not working... DIVX videos are not supported :-( permissions are rx for all on both files and the directory...

Hello,
please, how I can to play video *.avi (DivX) files?
What packets I must setup?
you have to install the packages avifile (and avifile-qt if you want a qt based player) they are under snd on SuSE CDs
next download the file binaries-010122.zip from http://divx.euro.ru/download.htm and extract it in /usr/lib/win32 if you want to watch avi videos as user, set the directory /usr/lib/win32 executable and readable for user if you have installed avifile-qt then you can watch videos with the program avifile
enjoy :)
Thanks.
Felix
