Well, I've readen your tests and I've understood that the problem is only on 
charlie and the mail server is OK.

Have you got "sendmail" ? And It is running both charlie and snoopy (telnet 
charlie 25)?

Try to by-passed Charlie. You can do it, if you configure a client (i.e 
Outlook, Kmail, Netscape Messeger. ecc). It must communicated only to snoopy.
Then you send an e-mail from sundar@xxxxxxxxxxxx to sundar@xxxxxxxxxxxxx This 
confirm to us that the charlie is not configured well.



If you use sendmail and if it is configured well (we check it with the test 
upon) , Charlie send the e-mail to snoopy. Its sendmail reads the domains 
that manages in  /etc/sendmail.cw. Then the sendmail checks the user is 
correct. This operation is made using the file /etc/aliases. If everythink is 
OK, sendmail put the e-mail in mailbox of the user (usually 
/var/spool/mail/user).

Your error seems that :
- the domain saravana.com is not managed by snoopy 
- the user  sundar@xxxxxxxxxxxx on charlie isn't possible, because in one 
domain you can have only one e-mail address with that name.
- The record MX is not correct (I've readen it in the FAQ of 
www.sendmail.org), but you've checked.
