IIRC, it's software raid card... the only "feature" of it is to
boot the raid array. but if you're using the card's own drivers (not linux
software raid)
PS: the only difference between the promise raid and raid-less ide
card is a resistor to enable the raid boot code (there is a page somewhere
in the net explaining how to "hack" the board to change a raid-less card
to a raid-enabled one)
