I have just installed the latest version of vlc, a program to play DVD.  When 
I run it I get the following message:

vlc
vlc: /lib/libpthread.so.0: version `GLIBC_2.2' not found (required by vlc)
vlc: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.2' not found (required by vlc)          
  

Where could I get GLIBC_2.2 for SuSE?  I tried some site but I got an RPM 
version > 3.  Where could I get those required libraries or a work around 
please.
