Hi If you are running XFree 86 3.x. SuSE have a modified xsvga.rpm package that should work. Alternatively, you can get a modified XF86_SVGA server from www.probo.com/timr/savagemx.html that should be OK. You can also get links from there to servers for XFree 86 4.x but my experience with them is that they're a bit flaky (in my hands anyway!). You'll find a lot of very helpful stuff on this site. I also found that Sax behaved better if I modified /etc/lilo.conf to include vga=792 Then start Sax with sax -m 0=fbdev ( or sax2 -m 0=fbdev) This allows the initial use of the framebuffer to start configuration and you can then change to the svga server. I hope this helps - I'm a bit of a linux newbie myself, but the above got me up and running! I can certainly get 1024x768 @ 24 bit depth. Funnily enough, RedHat 6.2 and 7.0 have no problem with this card and give 1024x768 at 32 bit with no tweaking! Good luck. David Robertson
