Hello

Has anyone installed the latest versionof vlc?  I am having the following 
problems when I start vlc:

linux:~ # vlc
VideoLAN Client - version 0.2.70 Urumov - (C)1996-2001 VideoLAN

intf: interface initialized
vout error: didn't find an Xvideo image input port.
vout error: video initialization failed, video is deactivated
input: opening dvd:/dev/dvd
css error: ioctl_ReadCopyright failed, make sure DVD ioctls were compiled in
css error: could not get copyright bit
input: opening dvd:/dev/dvd

Any ideas what could be wrong?
