Hi all: I recently upgraded my system from SuSE 6.4 to 7.1. In doing so I was moved from postgresql 6.5 to 7.0 Today I was looking into moving a database from the 6.5 format to the 7.0 format, and it seems that I need an installation of 6.5 in order to do it. Is this true? I have trouble believing that there is no upgrade path for those of us who were automagically moved to the new version in an OS upgrade. I've tried uninstalling the 7 version and installing a 6.5 RPM, but now I get library version problems. Can anybody tell me an easy way, on a 7.1 system of: a)Simply getting a version of pg_dump to work so I can move the data over, or b)Reverting to the old version without breaking the apps that need the current libraries. I'm really trying to avoid doing a large source compilation or having to restage a machine for what should be a simple data conversion task. Thanks, Chris. __________________________________________________________ Get your FREE personalized e-mail at http://www.canada.com
