Dear SuSE list,

While using yast 1.09.2 to install new rpm's to a
SuSE 7.1 system, yast listed errors for 10 of the
packages. The error msg is "can't get PREIN for
KDEBASE_2.1.1-15.rpm"  There are 9 more instances of
the same msg on the other 9 packages. YAST offered
no further info nor any way to determine the cause.

These packages were direct from the SuSE FTP site.

Now KDE fails to startup and X hangs on the
background display.

Can anyone help?
