Hello,
with 7.1 yast2 for first time configured my sound right. There is a thing you could improve upon though.
When you configure it for the first time it asks you to set a level of loudness. I wasn't sure what to set it to because different applications are different. I set it to about 30 which seemed right then.
Now I wish I had set it to about 50 because it is quieter than I want it to be by default. Going back into yast2 you can't change it though. You can only add or remove the card. Hate to remove the working card and run the risk of not getting it back =).
Not a problem just a feature thought.

I also discovered that while one can setup a card manually during the first install, when running yast2 sound configuration again the manual option is never offered again. JLK
