Landy,
first of all it would make reading your mail much easier if you'd answer
after the quote and cut down the quote to the necessary part.

Here's the complain:
configure:2572: libgnomeui/gnome-window-icon.h: No such file or directory
configure: failed program was:
#line 2571 "configure"
#include "confdefs.h"
#include <libgnomeui/gnome-window-icon.h>
So it's not finding gnome-window-icon.h, which should be in
/opt/gnome/include/libgnomeui. What does
'rpm -qf /opt/gnome/include/libgnomeui/gnome-window-icon.h' say? But I see
you're using the ximian packages and I can't help you there much because the
only thing available to me is our own environment and there things work.
