Greetings,
I installed SuSE 7.1 on a friends system. He uses cable internet. After a
bit of caressing, we get his NIC to work (ne io=0x300 irq=3). However, we
can't get DHCP to work. dhcpcd times out while dhclient says that no offer
was made by the ISP. Whats going on here?!?!?!
Also, he's got an ESS1869F sound card. It's a dorky embedded chip. We
can't get this working. Anyone have any tips on that?
Also, how do we get the xconsole to stop popping up on X startup?
Thanks a lot
