Hi all, I just recently made the move from redhat to suse 7.1 pro.. I have installed and tweaked to my greatest delight! The only problem I am having is with xinetd; telnet and ftp! More specifically wu.ftpd. If I change the xinetd.conf to use the old ftp package, it works fine. If I use the wu.ftpd, I can connect from a remote location, but then I get a bad port command once I try to execute any commands. Telnet gives me a disconnect: gethostname.. I am not running firewall software at all on here and my hosts.allow and hosts.deny are empty! Any ideas? Would I just be best to switch back to inetd? In the case of this, how much longer will inetd be used.. TIA Eric Six
