It has slipped my mind on how to create a fonts.scale file after I add fonts to the directory. I just installed SuSE 7.1, and am wanting to add True Type fonts to it, but I don't remember how to create the correct files for it.
- Change to the directory containing your TrueType fonts - call 'ttmkfdir >fonts.dir' - cp fonts.dir fonts.scale - edit fonts.scale and delete the first line
Also, does SuSE 7.1 ship with TrueType fonts ready to go?
Nope, it doesn't. Simply because there are no good (are well done, contain national characters) and free truetype fonts. And licensing fonts for inclusion is by far too expensive for a company like SuSE as we're talking here about sums between $100K an $1M. -- Penguins to save the dinosaurs -- Handelsblatt on Linux for S/390
