After adding font's to the directory, try running 'mkfontdir' on that directory. It creates the index of: fonts, scale, alias and encodings within the fonts.dir file which is read by X.
For truetype fonts you have to run ttmkfdir, not mkfontdir. I have gotten true type fonts recognized on my system. KDE's kfontmanager sees them with many point sizes, but netscape only sees them as 12 pt. Any ideas? _____________________ Christopher R. Carlen crcarl@inreach.com Linux 2.2.10
