I grabbed the OpenSSH 2.5.1p1 tarball recently from the OpenSSH site
and it does have the file:
elendil:~/openssh-2.5.1p1/contrib/suse$ ls
openssh.spec rc.config.sshd rc.sshd
You may have an older version.

Does anyone have the "rc.sshd" file referred to in the OpenSSH articles in Linux Journal? This is a SuSE-specific file, not in the RedHat rpms on the OpenSSH site. The article refers (Jan 2001, p58--60) to this file as being in the "contrib" directory, but I can't seem to find any ssh stuff in any /pub/suse/contrib mirrors (or any suse stuff in the OpenSSH site). There's no contrib directory in the source tgz distribution on the openssh.com site.
I suppose one could figure out what might want to be in that file (it goes in /sbin/init.d) or just put something in an rc.local file somewhere, but since it was referenced in such a public place, I thought I'd ask the SuSE community.
TIA,
Jim
