Well, I finally got my copy of 7.1 this morning! Yeeeeeehaaaawwwww!
Okay....anyway, I just wanted to give mucho kudos to the folks at SuSE.
You guys have really outdone yourselves this time. My first task with
7.1 was to install it on our new VA Linux 3500 for use as an Oracle
server. I couldn't boot off of the CD but I'm pretty sure that was a
BIOS prob. I stuck the boot floppy in, autoloaded the modules, and it
found everything (Mylex RAID, nic, ncr53c8xx). From there it was a
flawless install! I'm on to getting Oracle installed and configured now.
Great job guys/girls....are there any female hacks working on SuSE? I'm
taking this one home tonight for sure to upgrade my own box!
