Hello all, Upon scanning my host with nnap i get some confusing data. the output of nmap: Port State Service 22/tcp open ssh 25/tcp filtered smtp 80/tcp open http 111/tcp filtered sunrpc 139/tcp open netbios-ssn 389/tcp filtered ldap 396/tcp filtered netware-ip 427/tcp filtered svrloc 524/tcp filtered ncp 636/tcp filtered ldapssl ssh, netbios-ssn and www i want to be open, smtp i would like to be closed. i am not so sure, what what the other ports and processes do. how do i find out, which processes are using these ports? and what they are good for... best regards, and thanks in advance, R.
