Is the Epson 5700i supported? How about remotely?

Does anyone know if the Epson 5700i printer is supported? I've read that the 5700L is NOT supported and that the Epson 5700 IS supported. I cannot get the parallel port to work on Linux(SuSe 7.0) with this printer, which makes me think that the 5700i is the American version of the 5700L. I do have an G3 Mac at my disposal. Does anyone know if I set the printer up with a mac, how I could print remotely to the printer from linux? TIA Carlos
