Hi Steve, I'm using OpenSSH 2.3.0p1 on 7.0/6.4 and SSH Communications SSH 2.3 on WNT/W2K. Clients from WNT/W2K copy files to/from Linux servers through sftp-- no problems. I built OpenSSH rpm myself and on the first stab forgot to include sftp into the package ;-) Added it later. The only problem I got, I cannot use scp from OpenSSH client to SSH Communications non-commercial sshd 2.3 on Linux. The reason (I just speculate) -- SSH speaks SSH2 and OpenSSH tries to use SSH1 protocol. When forced into SSH2, OpenSSH cannot negotiate the protocol with the other one. -Kastus On Wed, Feb 14, 2001 at 10:10:57AM -0500, Steven T. Hatton wrote:
Is sftp part of the ssh distribution from datafellows? I don't have it using the OpenSSH package. How do these two implemnations differ? I remember having some problems getting them to play nicesly together.
TIA,
Steve
