I'd say Democracy requires the following: Well educated populace (guess the West is now failing at least on that) Majority participation of the populace at all time, not just around election time (guess that one is messed up too). Unfortunately, it does NOT work that way. Democracy is a delusion in the mind of man. If it worked, we wouldn't have things like the DMCA, or crypto export laws. If people actually used their heads (which is a basic premise of democracy - it assumes people can think), we wouldn't even have a patent office.

Sorry, I should have been more specific, I live in central Pennsylvania (USA), I doubt I will see it in local stores any time soon. However, a few did carry the SuSE 7.0 personal edition - none had the professional edition.
