Having changed my domain name in yast I now find apache will not start at boot up - giving an error message as error in apache.config etc. This file does not seem to have changed. I have run SuSEconfig to no avail. Where is apache keeping the old domain name that does not tally with the new one? This may seem cryptic but try as I might I cannot find an answer to that simple question. I have also uninstalled and then reinstalled apache also to no avail.
What's the exact error message? And why does it point to apache.config? IMHO, configuration file is called (on SuSE system) /etc/httpd/httpd.conf. You may try to test your configuration with command: /usr/sbin/httpd -t /etc/httpd/httpd.conf It will just go through your configuration without bringing up apache server and report all errors found to the console. rcapache does the same thing (sanity check) but redirects all messages to /dev/null.
