It may be of interest to folks to know the following about Juno, and I don't think they will like it. In exchange for a 'free' internet connect through Juno you must abide by the following rules: 1) you may have to leave your PC on 24/7 2) you will have to let their screen saver with commericals run when ever the PC is on and you must not disable it. (They will log your screen saver settings!) 3) you will have to let Juno or 3rd parties download "computational software" to run on your PC and store the results of those computations until they can be uploaded back to Juno or the 3rd party. That software can do anything it wants, including analyzing your personal files and data. This process is a new fad in internet activity. It is called "Distributed computing". The SETI project uses it extensively to look for little green men, but people voluteer to run the software on their PC and SETI doesn't rummage through your system and accumlate data to sell to other organizations. (What happens if a cracker hijacks that computationsal software and gains access to your PC?) 4) If returning such computational results causes long distance charges to be accrued YOU are responsible for them. In exchange for loosing control of your PC, you will also be limited to how long you can be connected to Juno, limited to how many emails you can send and limited to how big an email can be. In otherwords, June has all the 'rights' and none of the responsibilities, at your expense, literally. Now you know why I put the word free in quotes! And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of people that these liberties are a gift of God? Thomas Jefferson - 1781
