Suse 7.0 Install problem

I have a problem with Suse 7.0.. the problem is that Suse fails to recognize myusb stuff.. I have a Logitech Wheel Optical Usb mouse and a Epson 580 usb
printer.. i'd like to make at least the mouse work... Do u know how to solve
this problem? Do i have to download a different kernel or there is something i
can do with this kernel (2.2.16)?
