Interesting.....
I have 2 3C905B's in my SuSE 7.0 gateway, and I didn't have to add
the lilo addition. Is it only when you have different kind's of nic's ?

Go into yast...system administration--->integrate hardware
into system----->add eth1 and the appropriate module i.e.,
if you have NE2000 make sure you select the right module
(note: ne2000 come in two flavors ISA or PCI). Then you need
to edit lilo.conf (you can do this in yast but I prefer to
do it by hand). Add a line like this to lilo.conf:
append="eth0=0xXXX,eth0 eth1=0xXXX,eth1"
Replace XXX with hardware address found in /proc/pci or look
in dmesg. Hope this helps :)
