Only problem I see is that there are many people out there who have
heard of linux but havn't ventured into it because of the difficulties
that they may have also heard of. Those same people are going to buy it
from MS simply because they figure MS will make it easier for them.
Hate to say it, but this means that linux needs to become as easy to
install as MS or for that matter Mac which in my opinion is even easier
than MS so that those people won't flock to an MS brand of linux (if that
ever happens).

Taxes are going up so fast, the government is likely to price itself
out of the market.
