Hi,
I had a similiar prob. installing gnucash too.
Try downloading <slib>from :
http://swissnet.ai.mit.edu/~jaffer/slib.html
Then untar and install the slib package.
Next initiate a Yast session (not Yast2) as root and
navigate through the menus to
Enter the dir. you saved the gnucash rpm to then press F10 to install that
package.
Try and tell me if this works .It did for me.
I then exported my MS MONEY file into a .QIF format and imported it into
gnucash
WORKS like charm
