I can write to the share remotely as root, but not ancalagon (in the root
group).  My biggest snag is it wont allow me to make permission changes to
that directory while hdd1 is mounted and have them stay (this is from the
command line on this particular server).  Currently I am logging in as root
from within my trusted network, so I am not dead in the water.  I would just
like to figure out what the beef is here...   :)
