Subject: Re: [SLE] Suse 7 2GB+ filesize limit? (help please)
This is not a kernel problem it is an ext2 and ReiserFS
problem..they don't support the filesize your talking about.

-**-Hi
-**-
-**-I't seems that the kernel of 7.0 do NOT support files larger than 2GB, am I
-**-right?
-**-
-**-To exclude Samba i tried oploadning 2 files minibase.fdb(below 2GB) and
-**-megabase.fdb (larger than 2GB) with ftp.
-**-
-**-I start an ftp session on another pc in the network (NT 4.0) towards the
-**-Suse 7 server, and issue a BIN and put minibase.fdb and it transfers
-**-succesfully. If i do the same operation with megabase.fdb which are larger
-**-tha 2GB and it only transfers 2GB and then fail.
