I agree that Kmail might be THE project. Kmail for KDE 2.0 seems to have much -
although not quite all of - the polish in Outlook. When bundled with the rest of
the KDE suite, it's quite nice. If they were to add a Outlook Today like screen
that took data from both Kmail and KOrganizer, it would be nearly perfect.
It might not be quite there yet - but it certainly does seem to be the e-mail
client that would most likely be equal to a Windows/Mac client.
