Subject: Argus
Greetings
I have been having problems with my firewall setup lately. I downloaded and
recompiled the 2.2.17 kernel and now syslogd is not running and the firewall
script that was running so well is generating errors. I now have no firewall
log file and the only thing that is logging anything is argus. I have tried
to go in and read the /var/argus.log file, but I can't find anything to read
the data with. None of the text editors I have tried can make sence of the
hash that argus generates. I have tried reading the man for argus, but that
is about as clear as mud for any suggestions for reading the log file.
Does anyone know how to read the argus.log file? Or point me in the
direction of my mistake so that I can get syslogd running again?
<p>Thanks for any help.
