Thank's for your reply Togan, but I know that it is KCC -> Personalization -> and then keyboard- or language layout to configur it. The problem is: icelandic keyboard layout isn't there! Like many other languages that used to be there in KDE 1 it is just plain missing and I need to know how on earth I can configure this, which file I could edit by hand for example if that's the only choice. I've been asking this on some other mailing lists without any answers, guess I have to try the KDE list (it's just such a damn boring list to my taste).

Hi!
I've installed KDE 2 and I like it very much except for one small major problem; I can't find the keyboard layout for icelandic in KCC! It is in fact rather weird because it was there in KDE 1 and it was very easy to configure and change between two different keyboard layouts (in my case swedish & icelandic), so now I have to log into GNOME or KDE 1 if I need to write something in icelandic....:-( If someone can help me out on this one I would be very grateful.
IIRC Go to Personalities and then choose keyboard this should give you to use two keyboard layouts under KDE2
