Subject: can't recognise /dev/lp0
Hi everyone.
I cannot get my printer working as I cannot get SuSE 7.0 to recognise the
/dev/lp0 port. I realise that it is useless trying to install a printer if the
port is not recognised. I have the BIOS set to legacy ISA with the parellel
port set to 378 on interrupt 7 and with DMA disabled. I have disabled the plug
and play support and set it to manual. The BIOS is AWARD.
Oh, the printer works fine under another operating system.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks, Steve.
