You should use hdparm to do this. Someone else on the list may be
able to help you with this. For obvious reasons (I work for SuSE) I
cannot.
The "not 100% native mode" statement means there is another bus
besides and ISA bus...meaning a PCI bus. You can ignore this..it
means nothing.
