the 8390 is endemic to many ethercards. And, if all you are attempting to do is generate an ne2k-pci then it is completely unecessary. This is almost always available as a pre-compiled module and the 'source' you quote will not have improved it by one dot.
again, IF, ne2kpci is the module that drives this card then simply type in
modprobe ne2k-pci
it will almost invariably work out of the box.
The card is Linksys LNE100TX. When I typed modprobe ne2k-pci, here's what I got. What do I need to do now? Thanks. modprobe ne2k-pci /lib/modules/2.2.16/net/ne2k-pci.o: init_module: Device or resource busy Hint: this error can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters /lib/modules/2.2.16/net/ne2k-pci.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.2.16/net/ne2k-pci.o failed /lib/modules/2.2.16/net/ne2k-pci.o: insmod ne2k-pci failed *************************************************** Powered by SuSE Linux 7.0 Professional KMail 1.0.29.2 Bryan S.
