Subject: Recompiling kernel 



Hi all,

I have 2.2.17 installed on my SuSE 6.4 laptop ...I want to recompile the kernel
with a few modifications ....... should i run *make clean* before i run
make menuconfig  ? What are the pros and cons of doing so ?
