I've never seen your problem before, not that I have installed many of these cards. What is your kernel version? SuSE default or custom?
SuSE kernel sources 6.4 2.2.14
I would drop nvidia a line at linux-bugs@nvidia.com, it's worth a shot.
I did that yesterday.
If you don't have an Intel 840 chipset or a Via MVP4 and you are feeling like tinkering you could just patch out the undefined portions in "os-interface.c". I've attached a patch if you want to try it but I am not responsible for anything that might happen. <:
Thats what I've done. I just deleted the 2 lines in question. Another person (Michael Cleary) sugested that also (off-list) It seems to have worked. The kernel module now loads. I'm on to the GLX part. Thanks to ALL who helped. I'll be 3D'n again shortly. <p>>
BTW, as a general rule, are patches acceptable as attachments on this list? I don't see it to often but I do see it. It was short and sweet so I don't think it would bother anyone..
