I can't get control over the system again... It's still running, but it doesn't respond to anything like ctrl-alt-backspace.
Use the Magic System Request Key!
First try Alt-SysRq-k killing all programs on the current virtual terminal.
What key is "SysRq-k" (or "SysRq-S"). ???
Please explain it a little better, I don't undestand what key to press for killing all programs on the current virtual terminal.(Alt-SysRq-k)
Thanks.
Carlos Cortes.
If that fails, do the following:
Alt-SysRq-S a few times syncing unsaved data to the disk Then do Alt-SysRq-u to remount your filesystems read only. And do a Alt-SysRq-b to reboot.
