The first time I logged out of KDE2 (on my P166 with 64MB ) I thought it was
hung so I hit alt-cntl-bksp. What a mess when i logged back in!
The next time i waited for it. I also noticed the difference between root
and user logout times. But, my user desktop is loaded with icons and so is
the system panel. Root is bare.
