More information please.
Sound card, ISA/PCI, drivers, modules, etc --

I have upgraded my SuSE 7 to kde2. Everything works fine, except that the 
system sounds are garbled , as is the output of Kaiman (GQmpeg). 
But Xmms works fine. 
any ideas?
