According to Mikke Mattsson:
It is possible to run a 2nd tube and a 2nd keyboard, say, 75 feet from my SuSE box so that others in my family can use the same HW plaform? This would include using X, of course. It strikes me that since unix in multiuser, that there ought to be a way do to this...
You probably could find some HW out there that would make that possible. But it most certanly would be more expensive than finding your other family members an old second computer and network them with your SuSE box.
Sure; networking was the first thing that occured to me... but I've already got at least 2 tubes and keyboards....gathering dust. I also have 4 I/O ports on suzah (my Linux platform); what I've never seen is a means of adding extra keyboards. Anybody know how to do this, or is the PeeCee architecture that pathetic? gary -- Gary D.
