If you are using SuSE, you can get the latest ALSA sound drivers from their site. I have installed SuSE 6.3 on my Intel P III with Intel 810 chipset integrated onboard graphics and sound cards and have managed to get sound out of my box. Better get the latest ALSA drivers and libraries from SuSE updates folder or get the ALSA source and compile on you m/c. Also use the "alsaconf 0.4.2b ( or latest) from the same site and configure your sound card after loading the drivers onto your m/c.
Supper , Can you disable the on board sound and video ? Sound is not real important but the video is as it will be running x apps.

so far I know that it has an

ghraghics is 82801 as well as sound.
I windows driver panel ist using the following drivers - A28210 for graphics and 828021AA for sound.
If this is a no no system , any one know of any one that makes half decient linux boxes with some sort of linux on , as then I can just blow it away and put suse onto it ?
