Hi 

I have the standard pentium optimises SuSE Kernel from SuSE 7.0

I have in /etc/conf.modules
 alias scsi_hostadapter off

I have in /etc/lilo.conf
 append="hdc=ide-scsi"

cdrecord -scanbus

No such device. Cannot open SCSI driver.

I can read CD's fine but cannot write them.

I have tried all the SuSE database topics without success even the mailing list!
Can you help?
