I maintain different machines with SuSE, one with 6.4 and another one with 7.0 Personal. In order to have various kde alpha (as mentioned by SuSE Setup) that I am acustomed to them on both PC's I used some stuff from 6.4 CD's on 7.0 setup as well. All worked pretty fine, except two slightly minor problems I don't come up with a workaround yet: - kisocd (suse 6.4 version) don't work on 7.0 (because of new version of cdrecord I suggest) - there 's no mimetype for kpackage on kfm This are low priority problems, I can write CDs with KonCD (thought I don't like it that much) but no with xcdroast (crashes unexpectadly), and I know how to open a rpm with kpackage via kfm (... I know what context's menu open with... means:-). Finally, I'm curious if SuSE 7.0 Personal really contains greek fonts, I looked but I didn't find any so I used Windows Truetype Fonts (at last ttmkfdir included) and some RPM's from local LUG. General Impresion from SuSE 7.0 Personal: Good work (though price was really up since last version), keep up the good work. b.t.w 5 for KDE 2.0 to come out. ________________________________________________________________ Yanzae Zaeko Madman out of this World ________________________________________________________________ -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
