I sent an e-mail to SuSE help 13 days ago about this problem and have only received an auto e-mail reply. I guess they are swamped? I have had 6.4 running fine on my machine previously. After 3 attempts at a full reinstall I am stumped. The problem is that once installed I get an error message when the SuSETour tries to autostart: "could not connect to http://localhost/doc/susetour/en/welcome_header.html" then "could not connect to http://localhost/doc/susetour/en/welcome.html" then "could not connect to http://localhost/doc/susetour/en/ctrl.html". The same type message came up for the SuSE help system. Those files do exist but when I try to open them from the file manager the same messages come up.

My internet connection via a dynamic IP cable modem works fine. My installation was almost everything, I did not have enough space so I did not install some packages from the series "pay" such as the German help files Star Office. I did get conflict messages as soon as tried to deselect any package. I tried "install anyway" for all conflicts and in another installation attempt tried "skip" for all unless it was needed. No luck. In all 3 attempts after all the packages were installed the message "RPM has produced an error" came up without causing any other problems. Each time I
I recommend against 'install almost everything'. rpm is not our product and we cannot just make incompatible changes to the code, and it has problems when the rpm database gets big. However, other than using a lot of time to install I had no problems with this option (someone from Oracle wanted to have 7.0 on his notebook and wanted this option, so I did it for him, no problems, only takes a looong time).
installed all of the updates/patches/bug fixes for 7.0. The only other thing of note is that the very last line during shut down is "Failed services at run level (0 I think) Networker".
Legato networker? Ignore, or configure it first. Same for other services if they fail. After all, you installed 'everything' !
Right now I am pretty fed-up with it but I paid $70.00 for it so I am going to make it work!
