I had SuSE 6.4 which was running fine. I decided to install SuSE 7.0 from the scratch.
Now when I click on display properties in the KDE desktp at first I get black screen and then the white on blue message: "OUT OF SCAN RANGE".
Any advices?
And in addition, I lose control over the system and I have to do hard reboot.
I disabled video shadowing in BIOS setup, I tried different video modes, I used text based interface (XF86Config sp?), specified various VESA modes at the boot (followed by sax2 -m 0=fbdev). Nothing helped. Every time KDE worked but when I clicked on the desktop and selected Display Properties I got the same error. So long as I not try D.P. I could work with other stuff. Is the KDE broken?
