[SLE] How to recover a single file from the tape

Hello Linux folkz, Could somebody enlighten me how to recover a single file from the tape without extraction of backed up directories. To create the tape archive I used: tar -c /dev/tapedrive /dir1 /dir2 .. and so on. I can list all backed up directories with tar -tvf. But how to recover a single file I don't know.
